I used to think of space as a fixed thing—one side, the other. But this veil does not separate. It breathes, it shifts, it allows glimpses that dissolve the moment they are seen.

There is something behind it. I know this, but I also know that the act of looking makes it disappear.

I reach, but I do not know if my hand is passing through or if the veil is retreating.

I stand between something that no longer is, and something that has not yet become.
